Summer

HITS-On-The_Hudson

Saugerties

Saugerties is home to equestrian event, HITS-on-the-Hudson. They are the largest producer of Hunter/Jumper horse shows in the country and takes place for 8 weeks each summer. Sawyer Motors Car Show

Saugerties

On Sunday July 10th, Main & Partition streets are closed to traffic and filled with over 500 vintage cars. There is live entertainment and spectator admission is free to the public.

4th of July (Parade & Fireworks)

Saugerties

Get there early as the parade route, which winds through Saugerties Nationally Registered Historic Business District, is lined with people taking in the floats, bands (including some great Scottish Bagpipers) and fireworks.

Maverick Concerts

Woodstock

Maverick Concerts is the oldest, continuous summer chamber music festival in the country, celebrating over a century of world-class music in the woods outside Woodstock. After no performances in 2020 and a limited season in 2021, Maverick is back with a full slate of concerts at its open-air theater.

Rhinebeck Crafts Festival 

Get your craft on! Tucked away in a creative capital of the Valley, Artrider’s two-day festival celebrates artists and handmade fine arts and crafts. Head to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds to shop for unique pieces and sample products from gourmet concessions, local wineries, and distilleries.

Hudson Valley Garlic Festival

Since 1989. The Hudson Valley Garlic Festival, the brain child of herbalist and cookbook author, Pat Reppert, is a joyous festival. The Barn of Terror 

Lake Katrine The Barn of Terror is a seasonal Halloween amusement family owned and operated. Headless Horseman

December Holiday in the Village

The first Sunday of each December, the Saugerties Chamber of Commerce working with Sawyer Motors organizes a festive day that includes free hay rides, gift/bicycle give-aways and numerous fun events for all ages, including an opportunity for kids to meet Santa Claus at the historic Kiersted House.

Sinterklaas

Kingston

Kingston Sinterklaas organizers are planning its wildly popular Children’s Maritime Parade including its famous puppets, stars, Rip Van Winkle and Sinterklaas himself, as well as many other activities including the Crowns & Branches Children’s Workshop, Tree Lighting Ceremony, live entertainment, and numerous business open houses. The event creates a magical atmosphere for all and is a wonderful family event for everyone to enjoy.  The event is free and open to the public and occurs on the same day as Small Business Saturday.
